Dear Volodia and Peter:
Our congratulations and best wishes on your happy event. We were startled to hear the news, since you did not warn us about it at all, but I am delighted that you have solved your difficulties—and we wish you many years of happiness.
I cannot quite get used to Peter’s new name, but I will when we see you again. I don’t know yet when we will be able to come to New York, but I am looking forward to it and hope to congratulate you in person.
With love from both of us,
