Dear Leonebel:

Many thanks from both of us for the wonderful cheese which you sent us. It is a real treat, one of the nicest I have ever tasted—and we are eating it with grateful thoughts of you.

I have been madly rushed on my picture, so I have not had many guests in the house, but the few who have been here and have seen Frank’s portrait were most impressed by it and expressed the nicest compliments to you. I feel happy every time I look at it. I am sorry that my own face gave you so much trouble when you were here.

We both miss you and hope we will see you here again next summer.

With best wishes from both of us,

Sincerely,

Ayn Rand
