Dear Mr. Sternberg:
Thank you for your letter of January 25 in regard to bringing Mrs. Marie Strachow to this country.
I am glad to say that Mrs. Strachow has arrived already and is now in the United States. But I appreciate very much your keeping track of this case and of my request for your assistance.
If this comes within the province of your organization’s activities, I would like to mention to you the cases of two displaced persons in Europe who are in bad need of food packages and assistance. Mrs. Strachow told me about them. Their names and addresses are:
Mrs. Julia Dietrichs
Neumarkt near Salzburg
former camp
U. S. Zone Austria
and
Mrs. Tatiana Weber
21a Detmold
Friedrich str. 22
British Zone Germany
They have no friends abroad who can help them. I am not able to assist them myself, but if your organization does do relief work of this kind, I would appreciate it very much if you would call their cases to the attention of your representative in Europe.
Sincerely yours,
Ayn Rand
