*This was the film for the Italian movies of We the Living. Walter Wanger was a significant independent producer of movies who employed directors Alfred Hitchcock, Fritz Lang and John Ford. His onscreen talent included Ingrid Bergman, Henry Fonda, Hedy Lamarr, Charles Boyer and Susan Hayward.
