The Honorable Barry Goldwater
United States Senate
Washington 25, D. C.
Dear Senator Goldwater:
Please accept my sincere admiration for the heroic battle you have fought and are now so deservedly winning.
I want also to express my deep sympathy for the courage, endurance and dignity you have exhibited in the face of your adversaries’ contemptibly vicious tactics.
I have no doubt that you can win in November, even though it will be one of the toughest battles in history, and that your victory can bring about a world Renaissance of freedom.
Since you know my political views and my ability to communicate them, I am at your disposal, if you think that my services can be useful to you in your great battle.
Sincerely,
Ayn Rand
