Dear Rose Wilder Lane:

Thank you ever so much for the copies of your book reviews. I am enclosing my check for my personal subscription to them. Yours is the only book review publication which I read with unchanging pleasure. I particularly enjoyed your article in the November issue. It is excellent.

I was very happy that I had a chance to meet you at last, after all these years. I am looking forward already to my next visit East. I hope to do it within a year when I finish my novel. I am back at work on it now, and I hope to make it my most startling contribution to our cause. I am looking forward, with a real curiosity and anticipation, to the kind of discussion we will have after it is finished.

Thank you for your mention of ANTHEM in your Christmas list of books. I appreciate your remembering it.

With best regards,

Sincerely yours,

Ayn Rand
